The good thing about starting to program in HTML is that you dont require any sort of downloadable software from the internet nor do you need to go out and buy anything. You dont even need the internet! Everything you need can be found on your computer. All you require is a simple text editor such as Notepad.

Step 1: Go to the start menu and click it

Step 3: Locate accessories and click it

Step 4: Select Notepad

Notepad will serve you sufficiently as you write your code. You may wish to access other programs that might add a little "colour" or "flavour" to your writing by all means feel free. Programs such as Notepad++ can aid you.

Note also that programs like Dreamweaver can benefit you tremendously, however it wouldnt be wise to use this if you are "new2html". It tends to make the coding simple for you. Remember the primary objective is for you to familiarise yourself with coding on your own. After you get the hang of it you can venture and explore them.
